Welcome to the American International School of Jeddah Elementary program.  We are very proud to share our school with you through this website!
You, as parents, are your child’s first and best teacher.  Elementary schools have the unique privilege of being a child’s second foray in to formal learning.  We are here to work with you to create a home-school connection that supports, encourages, challenges, and motivates young learners.  Our work is infinitely more effective when you, the parents, are on our team. 
The American curriculum that we offer children is interesting, relevant, and grounded in our understanding of the developmental needs of all ages—from our youngest learners to our “ready for middle-school” fifth graders.  The elementary years are the foundation upon which all other learning is built…by creating a solid underpinning for future years, the elementary is increasing each child’s chances for success.  Developmentally appropriate activities encourage investigation and questioning.  Focused literacy instruction opens the doors for students to access Science and Social Studies topics while giving them the opportunities to “experience” worlds beyond their own through fiction and non-fiction readings.  Children can become artists, musicians, dancers, athletes, and scholars.  They can learn about the culture in which we live and learn to speak Arabic.

Through our doors, magic happens.  Children’s eyes glitter with understanding and teachers kneel next to those whose brows are furrowed with questions.  Teachers work together to become better at their craft and the children benefit from their dedication.

We have high expectations for our students.  We expect them to be safe, to be respectful, and to be responsible.  We expect them to do their best, and we do the same for them
