October 2011

The High School Counselor works with students, parents, teachers and administrators to provide a full range of academic, social, and emotional services. The counseling team is available to work with students in the areas of academic, social and personal counseling as well as career and college advising. The Counseling office is also responsible for administering the PSAT, SAT, and ACT exams, and the SAT Subject tests. Parents and teachers are encouraged to visit the counseling office for information on differentiation, academic support, intervention strategies, parenting guidance, and a range of other services.

The Counseling team continually enhances the AISJ high school program by organizing university visits, visiting universities, staying current on international admissions policies and maintaining relationships with university admissions representatives. Workshops on the university selection process for various countries are given each year and comprehensive reference materials on universities, financial aid, and career choice are available for students and their families. Welcome to AISJ - our door is always open!
