Dear Fellow AISJ Family, October 31, 2011

The combined influence of educators, parents and others on a school has a greater impact on learning than the influence of any one leader, a strong connection between student achievement and what they call the “collective leadership” of principals, teachers, parents, school administrators and students is the main reason PTSA is such an integral part of the American International School of Jeddah.

We as Parents, influence the ethics and morals of our children in all ways we think best; as educators, the school aims at preparing them for the challenges of the future. However, when these two forces work jointly the outcome for all will exceed the expectations immensely.

I strongly believe that PTSA is the way to join in all forces to produce the best results for our children. PTSA can achieve its quest of serving the wellbeing of our children only when parents take active part in the planning and execution of the extracurricular and social activities.

As parents, we feel extremely fortunate that our children are having the opportunity to pursue their education at AISJ. However, our duty, as parents, goes beyond sending them to such an amazing school. We need to insure their success and welfare at all times. To accomplish this, we must work closely with the school to help in whichever ways we can.

You don’t have to be great to start, but you have to start to be great, So please; join us as we embark on a journey that will enrich our children's lives. We look forward to meeting each and every one of you. Please feel free to contact me at anytime at the e-mail address below if you have any questions about the mission of the PTSA and if you would like be become a part of this entity.
